MobileMe

  • What? Online sync, storage, and email service from Apple
  • Where? Apple.com or other online retailers
  • How Much? $99 a year
  • Why is it cool? MobileMe may seem like an over priced service that you don't need but after recent enhancements by Apple and the popularity of the iPhone, it has become a very nice service to consider. With your MobileMe subscription, you get an email service, online storage, and seamless syncing of your contacts, calendar, and Safari bookmarks between multiple Macs, iPhone, and iPod Touch. MobileMe includes 20GB of online storage called iDisk where you can easily share photos and videos with your friends and family, store and share files, and even host your own website. You can access your email, contacts, calendar and iDisk from any computer with a web browser and internet connection. If you have an iPhone, MobileMe becomes very useful. MobileMe not only keeps all the information on your iPhone in sync with your Mac wirelessly but also allows you to locate your iPhone if it's lost and remotely delete all of your personal information if it's really lost. If you own multiple Macs and/or an iPhone definitely check out MobileMe. You can learn more and get a free 60-day trial here.

Paper Toss

  • What? A game for iPhone or iPod Touch
  • Where? You can download it here(iTunes Link)
  • How Much? FREE
  • Why is it cool? Paper Toss from Backflip Studios Inc. is a highly addictive and fun game where you try to throw a ball of paper into a trash can. Sounds easy enough but a desk fan stands between you and your goal. With each throw, the fan changes speed and position forcing you to adjust your aim. It's a fairly basic game with only three difficulty levels. The harder the level, the further you are from the trash can. The goal is to see how many shots you can successfully make in a row. You can see it in action here.

Apple iPhone 3GS

  • What? Apple's latest iPhone
  • When? June 19, 2009
  • Where? Apple or AT&T retail or online stores
  • How Much? 16GB $199, 32GB $299
  • Why is it Cool? The iPhone has been a juggernaut in the smartphone market since it was released in 2007 and has been slightly upgraded each year. This year, Apple is focusing on speed(that's what the "S" stands for). The processor and memory have been upgraded to make using the device even faster than prior models. Opening applications, viewing pictures, finding music, and pretty much every process is now up to two times faster. Also, the camera has been upgraded to a 3.0 megapixel with auto focus and video recording capability. The recorded video can even be edited directly on the phone and uploaded to YouTube. MMS(picture messaging) has been added but will not be supported by AT&T until late summer. A digital compass, voice dialing, and search round out the new features. Even though the design is the same, the new iPhone 3GS is a nice upgrade to this insanely popular device. You can find out more here.

TwitterFon

  • What? A twitter application for iPhone or iPod Touch
  • Where? Download it here(iTunes Link)
  • How Much? FREE
  • Why is it cool? There are many applications for iPhone/iPod Touch that make it easier to manage your twitter.com profile but TwitterFon is the absolute best in our opinion. This app is super fast, easy to use, and has a very clean interface. What really makes this app great is all of the options. It has support for all the basic twitter features such as @replys, direct messages, favorites, follow, and unfollow. It even supports advanced features like retweeting, search, trends, and uploading pictures. If you have fallen victim to the twitter craze, check out TwitterFon now. You can get more info here.

1337 pwn's iNXES

  • What? A new iPhone and iPod Touch app for Xbox Live
  • Where? The App Store(Opens in iTunes)
  • How Much? FREE
  • Why is it cool? iNXES is a scaled down and mobile version of the New Xbox Experience. It allows you to check your friends online status for Xbox Live without having to turn on your Xbox 360 or login on a computer. The easy to use interface allows you to view your friends, check reviews on popular games, and message friends. iNXES even allows you to see the new avatars in the friends view, not just their gamer picture. This application looks to be a handy new tool for those hardcore Xbox Live gamers out there. The creators also offer a slimmed down version of the app out called 1337pwn which has browser based versions for Android, Blackberry, Palm, Windows, and Mac OSX also. To find out more about these apps check out their website here.
